Target Groups

DIS-TANZ-START aims at graduated dancers living in Germany and graduating in the years 2019 to 2022 from state or state-recognised dance training institutions in Germany, including:

and further training institutions

Career entrants with a non-formal training in special aesthetics of contemporary dance in which no state-recognised training is offered in Germany, or disabled dancers who could not complete a state-recognised training due to barriers, can be registered if alternative evidence is provided instead of a formal certificate.

Proof of residence in Germany must be provided either at the time of application or at the time of graduation.

 

Exceptions

In special cases exceptions are possible:

  • In the case of professional training completed abroad, a clear biographical or artistic-practical conjunction with Germany must be proved.

Applications of these people will be additionally reviewed by an expert group.

    Graduates of dance training/study courses from German universities or state-recognised professional dance schools with a final certificate from the years 2019 to 2022.

    Evidence to be submitted:

    • your address in Germany
    • your diploma degree or certificate of studies or a transcript of records (the date of the diploma degree must not be before 2019; your name, the date of the degree or the date of issue must be clearly visible)

    Optionally: a motivation text (max. 1,500 characters) or a motivation video (Internet-Link plus access data, if applicable).

    Dance students/trainees in the field of dance at German universities/state-recognised professionale schools:

    Evidence to be submitted:

    • your address in Germany
    • the enrolment certification/certificate of training or a current transcript of records (the date of issue must be clearly visible)

     

     

  • non-formal training (without certificate)

    non-formal training (without certificate)

    Those entering the profession with non-formal training in certain dance aesthetics or styles that are not taught as a main subject at German universities or state-recognised vocational schools, and in which no final examination could or can be taken.

    Evidence to be submitted:

    • your address in Germany,
    • your curriculum vitae (max. 2 pages)
    • a letter of recommendation from the German dance scene (max. 1 page) as PDFs, as well as
    • a motivation text (max. 1,500 characters) or motivation video (Internet-Link plus access data, if applicable).
